Creative Dialog delivered the masterplan-scale wayfinding strategy for one of Dubai's most considered new residential communities.

Working alongside Meraas, Dubai Holding and New York landscape architects SWA, the team developed an organic, dual-language signage system designed to support vehicular, pedestrian and cycling navigation across a gated community that flows around the people who live in it.

Objective

Nad Al Sheba Gardens is more than a place to live — it encourages a new way of living altogether. With its meandering lanes and open front lawns, the private gated community is a luxury-focused residential destination in Dubai featuring premium villas, semi-detached villas and luxury townhouses inspired by comfort, nature and privacy. The community is shaped by a contemporary architectural language — clean, minimal contours, double-height ceilings, and open-plan interiors that flow into lush garden spaces.

Amenities include a Club House and Retail Hub, an Education Campus, an Adventure Play Area, an extensive Cycling Track complemented by Outdoor Gyms, a Multi-Sport Arena and Sports Pitches, alongside nature-led Beekeeping and Community Farms and an Organic Market. Collaborating with Dubai Holding and renowned New York landscape architects SWA, Creative Dialog was directly appointed by the Meraas development team to undertake a detailed wayfinding masterplan and concept that would showcase the destination and provide a seamless visitor experience across the spectacular residential enclave.

Our Approach

Creative Dialog approached the brief as both a masterplan-scale strategic exercise and a community-grain design study — putting the visitor experience front and centre, and providing a seamless navigational system across user groups, transport modes and a community that develops in stages. The goal was a shared yet stylish signage design that could be applied consistently across the full community.

_We extended the system to cover the full amenity programme — Club House, Retail Hub, Education Campus, Adventure Play Area, Cycling Track, sports facilities and community farms — with consistent visual treatment across each typology.

_We delivered a complete wayfinding masterplan and technical documentation ready for phased rollout in line with the community's staged development programme.

The Outcome

The completed wayfinding masterplan provides Nad Al Sheba Gardens with a navigational identity that matches the community's design ambition — organic where it needs to be, considered everywhere, and capable of scaling cleanly as the development unfolds in stages. A community wayfinding programme that flows around the people who live there, exactly as the masterplan intends.
